We then continue over the Atlas Mountains, where we will enjoy breathtaking views, travelling to Marrakesh, the 'Jewel of the South'. Our tour continues into the Sahara Desert, where we'll watch the sun rise over the dunes, after spending two nights in a traditional Moroccan Kasbah it's a completely unforgettable experience!Fabulous FezMorocco is a country full of colour and you'll see this reflected in the scenery and within all the busy markets. We visit Fez, Morocco's oldest imperial city, where we explore the narrow lanes of the famous Medina, enjoy a Moroccan cooking lesson and see the Karaouine Mosque.Animal EncountersYour Kenya experience begins in Nairobi, where we see some famous conservation projects, including the Giraffe Centre and Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. We then journey to Samburu National Reserve to experience the thrill of our very first game drive. Look out for zebra, cheetah and leopards, just to name a few. On our way to Maasai Mara, we stop at Lake Naivasha, famous for its diverse birdlife such as the graceful pink flamingos. Just when you think it couldn't get any better, we arrive at the Maasai Mara, Kenya's finest and most famous wildlife reserve. Here we enjoy an abundance of wildlife with amazing rolling grasslands, unforgettable game viewing and an amazing dinner under the Maasai Mara stars!

Welcome to Morocco and the city of Casablanca! Meet your fellow travellers this evening for a welcome drink.

Day 3. Casablanca - Marrakesh

Today we explore the buzzing streets of Casablanca before travelling to Marrakesh by train this afternoon. Tonight we'll make our way through Marrakesh's buzzing Jemaa el-Fnaa Square to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. [B,D]

Day 4. Marrakesh

The 'Jewel of the South', Marrakesh is the real heartbeat of Morocco. We'll enjoy a full day of sightseeing, including a visit to the Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace and the Dar Si Said Museum of Moroccan Art. [B,L]

Special Experience: Discover the distinct flavours of Morocco at a cooking class and enjoy the delicious results for lunch.

Day 5. Marrakesh

This morning we'll explore the enchanting Jardin Marjorelle, gifted to the city of Marrakesh by famous French designer, Yves Saint Laurent. The afternoon is at leisure to explore at your own pace. Why not shop for carpets and crafts in the city's labyrinth of souks? [B]

Day 6. Marrakesh - Boumalne

We travel through the High Atlas Mountains to the fortified city of A t Ben Haddou. This afternoon we make the short trip to Ouarzazate, where we visit the kasbahs of Tifoultoute and Taoirt. We continue to Boumalne this evening. [B,D]

Day 7. Boumalne - Merzouga

The morning is at leisure before we travel to Erfoud, on the edge of the Sahara. We'll transfer to 4WDs and make our way across the vast desert to the town of Merzouga. Our accommodation for the next two nights is a traditional Moroccan kasbah! [B,D]

Day 8. Merzouga

Special Experience: Witness an incredible sunrise over the endless dunes of the Sahara Desert.

After breakfast, we travel to a nearby village to enjoy the local Gnaoua music over tea. We then visit the artists' town of Tissardmine for lunch amongst the palms. [B,L,D]

Day 9. Merzouga - Fez

We cross over the Middle Atlas Mountains on our way to Fez, stopping along the way in the market town of Midelt. [B,L,D]

Day 10. Fez

Considered the cultural and religious centre of Morocco, Fez is a window into the Middle Ages. We'll explore the narrow lanes and covered souks of the medina, visit the famous tannery and see the impressive Karaouine Mosque. [B]

Day 11. Fez - Rabat

This morning we stop in the Imperial city of Meknes, where we see the impressive gates of Bab el Mansour and the old medina. We'll then travel to Rabat via the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, dating back to 300BC. [B,D]

Day 12. Rabat - Casablanca - Nairobi

Enjoy the morning at leisure before our overnight flight to Nairobi. [B]

Day 13. Nairobi

Karibu to Kenya! This afternoon we'll explore the bustling streets of Nairobi and take a tour of the city centre.

Day 14. Nairobi

Today we'll visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, run by Dame Daphne Sheldrick, which rescues and rehabilitates orphaned elephants and rhinos from ivory and horn poachers. Then get up close and personal with the giraffes at the Giraffe Centre. Later we enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden, followed by a visit to the adjoining Museum. [B,L]

Day 15. Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

Escaping the city, we travel north and cross the equator before arriving in Samburu National Reserve. After lunch we'll head out on our first game drive! [B,L,D]

Day 16. Samburu National Reserve

Keep an eye out for Samburu's diverse range of wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives today. [B,L,D]

Special Experience: Visit a Samburu village and school to learn about 'a day in the life' of a Samburu woman and her children.

Day 17. Samburu National Reserve - Mt Kenya National Park

Today we travel to Mount Kenya, Kenya's highest mountain. Here we'll explore the forest on foot with a ranger. [B,L,D]

Day 18. Mt Kenya National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park

A chance for us to spot the endangered rhino in beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park today on an afternoon game drive. [B,L,D]

Day 19. Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha

We'll participate in a tree-planting ceremony at our lodge this morning before we travel to Lake Naivasha, the home of the late Joy Adamson, author of "Born Free". Its rich heritage and idyllic scenery make it the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea and visit the house containing memorabilia from the "Born Free" film. [B,L,D]

Day 20. Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara

We travel to the famous Maasai Mara and enjoy a game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebra, gazelles and lions! [B,L,D]

Day 21. Maasai Mara

Our day in the Maasai Mara is devoted to discovering the incredible wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. [B,L,D]

Special Experience: This evening we'll enjoy a special bush dinner under a beautiful blanket of stars.
