Day 1. Depart Australia - Arrive Santiago

Bienvenido a Santiago, Chile’s colonial capital! Meet your fellow travellers for a welcome cocktail this afternoon. We’ll also visit the Sky Costanera observatory, Latin America’s highest viewpoint.

Day 2. Santiago

This morning we explore historic and modern Santiago, stopping at a lookout to take in amazing views of the city. We’ll also travel to the Maipo Valley, Chile’s famous wine region, for a winery tour at Undurraga Winery. Tonight we'll enjoy a group welcome dinner. [B,D]

Day 3. Santiago - Calama - San Pedro de Atacama

We fly to Calama, gateway to the Atacama Desert. The remote area’s landscape is really like no other. We’ll take an incredible sunset tour of the Moon Valley. Dusk bathes the unique rock and salt formations and the Licancabur Volcano in constantly changing light for a mesmerising display of colours. [B]

Day 4. San Pedro de Atacama

Special Experience: Visit a traditional Atacameño farm to discover how produce is grown in the desert, and then try the authentic products of the land at a tasting.

After lunch we discover Salar de Atacama, an immense salt flat covering 3,000 square kilometres. The flat’s surface is decorated by a layer of white salt crystals and is home to several flamingo species - a beautiful photo opportunity. [B,L]

Day 5. San Pedro de Atacama

Witness the incredible El Tatio Geysers as the sun rises over the field this morning. The geysers shoot up to 10-metres-high and reflect countless colours as they mingle with the sun’s rays. [B]

Day 6. San Pedro de Atacama - Santiago - Temuco - Pucón

This morning we fly to Temuco via Santiago and travel to Pucón in Chile’s Lake District. [B]

Day 7. Pucón

Situated on the shores of Lake Villarrica, Pucón’s location is the perfect starting point for us to tour the Villarrica Volcano’s underworld. This morning we explore the tunnels and caves created by a giant lava flow more than 2 million years ago. [B,L]

Special Experience: Learn all about Chile's Mapuche culture and enjoy a traditional lunch at Kila-Leufu farm this afternoon.

Day 8. Pucón - Huilo Huilo Nature Reserve

We travel into beautiful Huilo Huilo Nature Reserve, set amongst lush landscape and dotted with picturesque lakes.

Special Experience: For the next two nights we'll be staying in a luxury treehouse lodge in the heart of the Patagonian rainforest.

After lunch we set out on a short hike along the Spirits Trail to the Leone, Huilo Huilo and Puma waterfalls. [B,L,D]

Day 9. Huilo Huilo Nature Reserve

Today is at leisure to enjoy this stunning location at your own pace. You might choose to visit the nearby Chochuenco Volcano, birdwatch or go horse riding. [B,L,D]

Day 10. Huilo Huilo Nature Reserve - Puerto Varas

This morning we depart for Puerto Varas, stopping along the way at the small German settlement town of Frutillar - make sure you try one of their delicious cakes. We’ll arrive in Puerto Varas, the 'City of Roses', later this afternoon and explore the town centre on foot. [B]

Day 11. Puerto Varas

We explore Chil Island this morning. We'll get to meet some of the locals, known as 'Chilotes', and learn how their way of life and beliefs differ from continental Chile. [B,L]

Special Experience: Enjoy a hands-on lunch experience as we help prepare a traditional Curanto lunch in an earth oven.

Day 12. Puerto Varas - Peulla

This morning we cross Todos Los Santos Lake to Peulla. Todos Los Santos is also known as Lago Esmeralda due to the water's colour and on a clear day we'll enjoy spectacular views of Cerro Puntiagudo and the active Osorno Volcano. [B,D]

Special Experience: Discover the serene beauty of picturesque Peulla, a charming small village in the heart of the Patagonian Lakes District.

Day 13. Peulla - Bariloche

We travel over the Andes and cross the border into Argentina. As we cross the stunning turquoise water of Felix Frias Lake, enjoy the views of the imposing Tronador Mountain. We'll then take a motorised catamaran across Lake Nahuel Huapi to charming Bariloche. [B]

Day 14. Bariloche

Today we discover Bariloche's 'small circuit'. We'll visit Playa Bonita, take the chairlift to the top of Cerro Campanario Hill and travel to the Llao Llao Peninsula to visit the rustic San Eduardo Chapel. [B]

Day 15. Bariloche - El Chaltén

We fly south to El Calafate and transfer to breathtaking El Chaltén, gateway to two of the most impressive peaks in the Patagonian Andes, Mt Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. [B]

Day 16. El Chaltén

Discover this incredible landscape on a full day walking tour. There are trails to suit most fitness levels and weather conditions - our guide will discuss the best option on the day. [B,L]

Day 17. El Chaltén - El Calafate

Sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery today as we transfer back to El Calafate. [B]

Day 18. Los Glaciares National Park Excursion

Special Experience: Explore Los Glaciares National Park and hear the thundering sound of the ice breaking from Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few advancing glaciers in the world. [B]

Day 19. El Calafate - Puerto Natales

Today we venture into southern Patagonia and make our way to Puerto Natales. [B]

Day 20. Torres Del Paine National Park Excursion

We spend the day discovering incredible Torres del Paine National Park. Enjoy the wonderful views over Torres Massif’s jagged peaks and mysterious Lake Grey, and discover the area’s flora and fauna. We'll take a short hike to see the magnificent Grey Glacier and also visit the Cueva del Milodon, where the remains of a prehistoric giant ground sloth were discovered in 1895. [B,L]

Day 21. Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas - Santiago

We transfer to Punta Arenas for our flight back to Santiago. [B]

Day 22. Depart Santiago

Today is a day at leisure for you to relax or finalise some last-minute souvenir shopping. We’ll enjoy a group farewell dinner at a local restaurant tonight before transferring to the airport. [B,D]
