Day 1. Depart Australia - Arrive Lima

Day 2. Lima

Our city tour this morning includes the Lima Cathedral, the Convento de San Francisco and the Barranco district. We also visit the Art Museum. [B,D]

Special Experience: This evening we're treated to a tour of Casa Aliaga, Lima's oldest colonial mansion, before a decadent 3-course dinner in the dining room, courtyard or main salon.

Day 3. Lima - Cusco

Today we fly to Cusco. We'll enjoy lunch before visiting the Cathedral of Santo Domingo. We also explore Koricancha, the Temple of the Sun. [B,L]

Day 4. Cusco - Machu Picchu

Deluxe Experience: A magical day as we travel on the Hiram Bingham Train through the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. Sit back, relax and indulge in a decadent brunch, accompanied by a selection of Peruvian wines. [B,D]

Day 5. Machu Picchu - Sacred Valley

Why not return to Machu Picchu for an optional second visit this morning? We board the train and return to Ollantaytambo. We'll visit a local chicheria to try traditional chicha and taste some guinea pig, a South American delicacy. [B]

Day 6. Sacred Valley

This morning we explore the archaeological ruins of Ollantaytambo, an ancient Incan fortress. [B,L]

Special Experience: Enjoy the famous Paso horse show over lunch 'al fresco' at a local ranch, then visit the renowned Seminario pottery workshop.

Day 7. Sacred Valley - Cusco

We return to Cusco, stopping to visit the lively Pisac markets and impressive ruins along the way. We'll also enjoy a weaving demonstration and meet the llamas and vicu as in Awanacancha, and visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. [B]

Day 8. Cusco

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the fascinating city of Cusco. Why not visit the buzzing San Pedro Market or stroll through the streets of the picturesque Barrio de San Blas neighbourhood? [B]

Day 9. Cusco - Lake Titicaca

Deluxe Experience: Board the Andean Explorer train in Cusco. Unwind in your luxurious cabin as the train begins its journey through the majestic High Andes Mountains to Puno. Savour lunch in one of the elegant dining cars. Enjoy a sensational sunset over the La Raya Mountains as you dine this evening, then retire to the bar as the train continues to Lake Titicaca. Day 10. Lake Titicaca

An early start to catch the breathtaking sunrise across Lake Titicaca before returning to the dining car for a decadent breakfast. Today we'll explore the famous Uros Islands and learn about life on the lake. We'll return in time for afternoon tea as the train continues to Arequipa. Day 11. Lake Titicaca - Ca ahuas - Colca

After breakfast, we'll discover the spellbinding scenery of Lake Lagunillas and explore the Sumbay Caves. Indulge in a final lunch on-board before we disembark and transfer to Colca. [B,L,D]

Day 12. Colca - Arequipa

On our way to Arequipa, we visit the Cross of the Condor and the terraces of Antahuilque. [B,L]

Special Experience: The Cross of the Condor is the deepest point of the Colca Canyon. It is where the majestic Andean condor can be seen cruising over the morning thermals.

Day 13. Arequipa

This morning we explore Arequipa. Highlights include the Convent of Santa Catalina, Church of La Compa a and Carmen Alto viewpoint. [B]

Day 14. Arequipa - Lima

Today we fly back to Lima. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. [B]

Day 15. Lima - Cruising: Embark Iquitos

Embark River Cruise: This morning we begin our journey into the Amazon Jungle. After a short flight to Iquitos, we transfer to Nauta. [B,D]

Day 16. Amazon Cruising

We cruise along an amazing blackwater stream, then take a guided jungle walk to learn about the area's medicinal plants. In the early evening we'll board skiffs - be on the lookout for parrots, macaws and sloths. [B,L,D]

Day 17. Amazon Cruising

As we continue exploring the waterways, we'll hopefully see freshwater dolphins, monkeys, and an abundance of native birds. In the afternoon we enjoy a cooking class in a local home, and taste Amazon cuisine! [B,L,D]

Disembark River Cruise: Before our flight to Lima, we'll stop to visit the Manatee Rescue Centre. [B,L]

We explore the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls, and stand on a platform suspended over the incredible Devil's Throat! This afternoon we return to Brazil and walk the canyon path. [B]
