Day 1: Queenstown
Kia Ora! Welcome to New Zealand. Our base for the week is a stone's throw away from all the action of central Queenstown, with Lake Wakatipu and the dramatic Southern Alps to keep you company. We’ll get your lift passes and transport cards sorted before a walking tour. Tonight: get to know your snow buddies over dinner at Winnie’s – a super-iconic restaurant. Day 2: Queenstown
Put that four day Queenstown Superpass to good use. Head up to Coronet Peak and find your ski legs with a first timer lesson or a refresher course. It’s like riding a bike. Ask the crew for the best trails to practice on, then refuel at a mountain café for lunch before an afternoon ski sesh. Try out your new tricks or stick to the green slopes – if you look like a giant stick insect with oversized shs on, never fear, you’ll get the hang of it soon. Day 3: Queenstown
Ready for the real stuff – take the bus on up the very scenic drive to The Remarkables Ski area and test your skills. With trails for all levels this ski field is the jewel of Queenstown with some astonishing views just a short walk up from the top of the Shadow Basin Chairlift. Check with your crew to organise a soaking at the Onsen Hot Pools to rest up those aching muscles. Then, take your pick from bungy jumping, canyon swinging and jet boating. Or, if you’re getting deep into the skiing thing, stay put at the slopes for another day of dashing through the snow. Day 4: Queenstown
Get back on the slopes or take an optional full day trip into Milford Sound. Stop and admire the reflection in Mirror Lake, and the views down the Hollyford Valley, then literally drive through the mountain via the Homer Tunnel. You might spot a fur seal and bottlenose dolphin or two and, on the odd occasion, the rare Fiordland Crested Penguins. The afternoon cruise will take you off exploring of the nooks and crannies of the fiord. Nudging into sheer rock faces to get a close up of the flora and fauna is sure to be a highlight. Another day, another chance to flaunt your skiing prowess. You should be starting to get some serious muscle tone by now! Head back to the slopes more hijinks on your old favourite trails. Day 5: Queenstown
If you’re all adrenaline-d out, do a horseback ride or winery tour. Change scenery and try the Cardrona Ski Mountain trails. Exchange epic jumps and embarrassing face plant stories over a swanky restaurant dinner. Day 6: Queenstown
No visit to Queenstown is valid without a stop at the Ferg Bakery. Grab your breakfast voucher from your crew to excite your breakfast senses. Be sure to save a ski pass for this final day of our week together, and what a way to finish off. Head up to the mountain after lunch for an afternoon and evening of twilight mountain action. With a DJ on the hill, BBQ meals and bars, your afternoon and night of skiing is sure to be a huge highlight. Once back down from the mountain the partly life of Queenstown.
