Day 1: Cairo, Egypt
Enter Cairo - a city like nowhere else. Meet with the group this evening then rest up and prepare for the next few weeks of adventure. Meals: -Dinner

Jump on an overnight coach - we're en route to Aswan tonight. Meals: -Breakfast
Day 3: Aswan

We've got four statues at Abu Simbel. Not just any ol' statues, we're talking colossal statues, and these ones are like no other (seriously). Day 5: Aswan to Luxor

Day 6: Luxor to Cairo via Overnight Coach
Walk into the Valley of the Kings - aka the place everyone in ancient Egypt was dying to get into. Then, fly the flag for girl power at the temple of Queen Hatshepsut before gawking at the Colossi of Memnon. Then: an overnighter to Cairo. Day 7: Cairo
This is what you came for. And today, we visit the epic Pyramids of Giza. See Tutankhamun's treasure chest at the Egyptian Museum, then gain some perspective at the base of the 138-metre Great Pyramid of Giza. This hunk of ancient architecture could be remodelled into 30 Empire State Buildings. The Sphinx is its big-ass guard dog (or should that be lionman?). Leave your fear of heights in Athens. We're driving to Meteora, perched on the nail biting cliffs of Thessaly (Google it). Visit one of six remaining 14th century monasteries (out of 24) then round up the day with good friends, good food and some Facetiming. Day 10: Meteora to Tirana, Albania

Day 24: Berlin
Berlin is yours. Shake off last night with a wander around. Optional: Third Reich walking tour and local insight into what the city was like under Nazi rule during World War II. Day 27: Copenhagen to Hamburg, Germany
On to Hamburg, aka the 'Gateway to the World'. Boasting more bridges than Venice and Amsterdam combined, plus the first zoo with no enclosures, Hamburg is one of the hippest cities in Europe. And if that weren't enough, Hamburg also boasts 3km of funfair AND Europe's biggest Japanese garden. If you hear "Hummel, Hummel" be sure to reply with "Mors, Mors". Don't ask. Day 11: Tirana to Dubrovnik, Croatia via Budva, Montenegro
Pit stop in Montenegro en route to Dubrovnik. Lots more stunning scenery gets pushed past the window as we head up the gorgeous coast and make for the most famous walled city in Europe. Wander Dubrovnik's tiny cobblestoned streets and explore hidden cafés and shops before grabbing some dinner and checking out the glitzy nightlife. Day 23: Prague to Berlin, Germany
Rock and roll over to 800 year-old Dresden - a city virtually destroyed in WWII and then rebuilt - and ogle the Frauenkirche before making your beard all the more ironic in Berlin. Prep yourself for currywurst, absinthe and more hipsters per capita than anywhere else. We'll drive you around to see (what's left of) the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag building before making your food baby sing with a hearty German meal. Day 28: Hamburg to Amsterdam, Netherlands

Day 22: Prague

Day 15: Sarajevo to Belgrade, Serbia
More of Eastern Europe's unique mix of glasnost and capitalism as we dig into Belgrade, capital of modern-day Serbia as well as the former Yugoslavia. Serbia's religious and political past has cultivated a diverse cultural landscape throughout the city. Day 20: Krakow

Day 18: Budapest to Vienna, Austria via Bratislava, Slovakia
Today we move on to Vienna - but first, a pit stop at Bratislava, Slovakia. Later, pick your Baroque from Rococo as we slide into The City of Dreams (kudos, Freud!). The Vienna Orchestra provides the soundtrack while we check out Europe's classiest capital. Wave hello to the President as we go past the Hofburg Palace - and because one palace isn't enough, we also take a peek at the Schonbrunn. Top off your day with a search for schnitzels and apple strudel.
