We then continue over the Atlas Mountains, where we will enjoy breathtaking views, travelling to Marrakesh, the ‘Jewel of the South’. Fabulous Fez and Cool ChefchaouenMorocco is a country full of colour and you’ll see this reflected in the scenery and within all the busy markets. We visit Fez, Morocco’s oldest imperial city, where we explore the narrow lanes of the famous Medina, enjoy a Moroccan lunch in the Medina's palace and see the Karaouine Mosque. Before moving on the beautifully blue city of Chefchaouen, where we explore the sights, including hiking to a viewing platform for incredible panoramic views!Animal EncountersYour Kenya experience begins in Nairobi, where we see some famous conservation projects, including the Giraffe Centre and Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. We then journey to Samburu National Reserve to experience the thrill of our very first game drive. Look out for zebra, cheetah and leopards, just to name a few. On our way to Maasai Mara, we stop at Lake Naivasha, famous for its diverse birdlife such as the graceful pink flamingos. Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, we arrive at the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s finest and most famous wildlife reserve. Here we enjoy an abundance of wildlife with amazing rolling grasslands, unforgettable game viewing and an amazing dinner under the Maasai Mara stars!

Welcome to Morocco and the city of Casablanca! Meet your fellow travellers this evening for a welcome drink.

Day 3. Casablanca - Marrakesh

Today we explore the buzzing streets of Casablanca where we see the central market, Hassan II Mosque and Ain Diab Esplanade. Next we travel to the magical ‘Rose City’, Marrakesh, blessed with fine gardens, palaces and mosques. [B,D]

Day 4. Marrakesh

Marrakesh is the real heartbeat of Morocco and today we visit the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque and the famous medina. [B,L,D]

Special Experience: Discover the distinct flavours of Morocco at a cooking class and enjoy the delicious results for lunch. 

Special Experience: Tonight we’ll make our way through Marrakesh’s buzzing Jemaa el-Fnaa Square to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 5. Marrakesh - Fez

Today we head to Fez. Considered the cultural and religious centre of Morocco, Fez is a window into the Middle Ages. It's known for its famous leather dyeing vats and its medina is quite possibly the world's largest car-free urban space! [B,D]

Day 6. Fez

Today we’ll explore the narrow, cobbled lanes and covered souks of the famous medina, see the Karaouine Mosque and enjoy lunch in the medina’s palace. We'll also watch an ancient tannery in operation. [B,L]

Day 7. Fez - Chefchaouen

Today we drive to Chefchaouen, known for the stunning blue-washed buildings of its old town and steep cobbled lanes. [B]

Day 8. Chefchaouen

This morning we’ll explore Chefchaouen’s picturesque streets on foot on a city tour. Later we hike to the Chefchaouen viewing platform and take in the incredible panoramic views. [B]

Day 9. Chefchaouen - Rabat

Travelling to Morocco's capital, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed city of Rabat. On the way we visit the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis, dating back to the 3rd century BC. We’ll also stop at the Bab el Mansour Gate and the lively old medina in Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. [B,D]

Day 10. Rabat - Casablanca - Nairobi

Enjoy the morning at leisure before our overnight flight to Nairobi. [B]

Day 11. Nairobi

Karibu to Kenya! This afternoon we’ll explore the bustling streets of Nairobi and take a tour of the city centre.

Special Experience: Next we will visit Brown's Cheese Factory where we enjoy a cheese tasting and take a tour.

Day 12. Nairobi

Today we’ll visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, run by Dame Daphne Sheldrick, which rescues and rehabilitates elephants and rhinos orphaned by ivory and horn poachers. Then get up close and personal with the giraffes at the Giraffe Centre. Later we enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden, followed by a visit to the adjoining Museum. [B,L]

Day 13. Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

Karibu to Kenya! This afternoon we’ll explore the bustling streets of Nairobi and take a tour of the city centre.Escaping the city, we travel north and cross the equator before arriving in Samburu National Reserve. After lunch we’ll head out on our first game drive! [B,L,D]

Day 14. Samburu National Reserve

Keep an eye out for Samburu’s diverse range of wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives today. [B,L,D]

Special Experience: Visit a Samburu village and school to learn about ‘a day in the life’ of a Samburu woman and her children.

Day 15. Samburu National Reserve - Mt Kenya National Park

Today we travel to Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest mountain. On our way we stop at the Nanyuki Spinners and Weavers, a place where women are trained in the craft of spinning and weaving, empowering them to earn a sustainable living.

On arrival in Mt Kenya we’ll explore the forest on foot with a ranger. [B,L,D]


Day 16. Mt Kenya National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park

A chance for us to spot endangered rhino in beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park today on an afternoon game drive. [B,L,D]

Day 17. Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha

We’ll participate in a tree-planting ceremony at our lodge this morning before we travel to Lake Naivasha, the home of the late Joy Adamson, author of “Born Free”.

After lunch, we drive to Hell's Gate National Park where we go for a walk, admiring the spectacular scenery of towering cliffs, extinct volcans and deep gorges.

We then return to the rich heritage and idyllic scenery of Lake Naivasha, the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea and visit the Adamson house containing memorabilia from the “Born Free” film. [B,L,D]

Day 18. Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara

We travel to the famous Maasai Mara and enjoy a game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebra, gazelles and lions! [B,L,D]

Day 19. Maasai Mara

Our day in the Maasai Mara is devoted to discovering the incredible wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. [B,L,D]

Special Experience: This evening we’ll enjoy a special bush dinner under a beautiful blanket of stars.

Day 20. Maasai Mara - Nairobi - Australia
