Moremi and Chobe to Vic Falls Safari

This adventure safari offers phenomenal value for money and is perfect for those with limited time who wish to visit the best wilderness areas in Botswana. Starting in Maun, we drive to Moremi Game Reserve. Encompassing about a fifth of the Okavango Delta this reserve covers both wetland and dry woodland habitats. It is renowned for prolific birdlife and a variety of other animals including buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard and many species of antelope. Sleeping in tents with the calls of the night all around provides a true wilderness experience. Continuing our search for game on early morning and evening forays we move on to Chobe National Park with its extremely diverse landscapes. Commencing in the drier Savuti region there is a good chance of spotting bull elephants before we explore north towards the Chobe River. Game drives here explore wetland environments as we meander along the banks of the river. The distinctive call of the African Fish Eagle and some sizable reptiles are quite common. Our trip concludes in Livingstone, Zambia, but not before time is spent admiring the thunderous Victoria Falls.

Days 2-4
In the early morning, we will drive through to Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana which covers swamp and dry areas. During a short break en-route, your guide will give you a full overview of your safari. The next three days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets will be the norm. After your morning game drives, you will return to camp for lunch and a siesta. On Day 4 you will move campsites to explore a different area of this diverse park. Camping will be in private designated campsites with bush ablutions.
Day 5
Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, will be our next destination. The park is the second largest in Botswana and is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets, abundance of wildlife and myriad of birdlife. We will traverse the drier Savuti region of the park first, where bull elephants dot the plains and large antelope such as kudu and eland can be seen. Camping will be in private designated areas with bush ablutions.
Days 6-7
On Day 5 we will travel northwards within Chobe National Park to the Chobe River. Here our game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African Fish Eagle. We have opportunity to observe other birds and riverine wildlife such as crocodiles and hippos. We spend 2 days in this region, following the morning and afternoon game drive routine. Camping will be in private designated areas with bush ablutions.
Day 8
After a morning game drive in Chobe National Park we will cross the Zambezi River by car ferry and then drive to Livingstone on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. Here we will spend the night at a comfortable lodge. In the afternoon there is time to visit the thunderous Victoria Falls (or "Mosi -o-Tunya"). There are also curio markets and many optional activities that can be arranged locally (own expense) including whitewater rafting, helicopter flights, bungi jumping, can trips and much more.
