Welcome to Jordan! This afternoon we'll take a short city-sightseeing tour, including some free time to explore the souq of Old Amman, before a group welcome dinner this evening. [D]
Today we visit the beautifully preserved Roman cities of Umm Qais and Jerash, as well as the impressive Ajloun Castle. [B,D]
Heading out of Amman, we travel to the lowest point on Earth - the Dead Sea. The salt content of the water is four times that of most oceans! [B,L,D]
Special Experience: Take a dip in the Dead Sea and cover your body in the therapeutic mud, said to have amazing benefits for your skin.
This morning we make our way to Madaba and visit the Church of St George. We'll also stop at the biblical site of Mt Nebo, where Moses first saw the Promised Land. This afternoon we visit 'Little Petra', one of the oldest archaeological sites in the Middle East. [B,D]
Today we discover the famous Lost City of Petra. Carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans more than 2,000 years ago, it was an important junction for the silk and trade routes. [B,D]
Special Experience: Discover the magic of Petra by night as the rock city is lit by more than 1,000 candles. Enjoy Jordanian music and Bedouin mint tea whilst admiring the spectacular view.
We venture south to Wadi Rum. We'll enjoy an exciting jeep tour, guided by local Bedouin tribesmen. Later we'll take a camel ride and see traces of ancient civilisations in the many carved inscriptions found throughout the area. We'll spend the night in a Bedouin style desert camp. [B,D]
This morning we make our way back to Amman via the Crusader fortress of Kerak. [B,D]
Enjoy the morning at leisure before our evening flight to Cyprus. [B]
Discover the city of Limassol on a full day of sightseeing today. Our day will begin at the medieval Castle of Kolossi and the ancient Kingdom of Kourion. We'll also visit the Olive Park and try some local dishes over lunch here.
Special Experience: Witness a traditional Cypriot olive pie-baking demonstration. We'll help prepare the dough and taste it fresh from the fourni!
Tonight we'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant to welcome us to Cyprus. [B,L,D]
Today we'll explore the harbour and medieval fortress of Kyrenia, dating back to the Byzantine era. This afternoon we'll visit the town of Nicosia and discover its 16th century Venetian walls, the Famagusta Gate, and have some free time to enjoy Laiki Geitonia. [B]
We explore the picturesque Troodos Mountains this morning, beginning at the Byzantine Kykkos Monastery.
Special Experience: The village of Omodos has a long tradition in wine making, and we'll be able to try a selection of the local wines and liqueurs, including the famous Commandaria dessert wine and Zivania.
This afternoon we'll visit the local bakery and sample its famous haloumi cheese pastries. [B]
This morning we'll make our way to the heritage-listed town of Paphos. Along the way we'll stop at Petra tou Romiou, a stunning beach and birthplace of the legendary goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite. [B]
The day is at leisure for you to enjoy this beautiful town at your own pace. Why not head down to the Limanaki (harbour) area? It's one of the most picturesque spots on the island and home to quaint shops, restaurants, bars and traditional taverns. [B]
This morning we'll discover the natural beauty of Akamas on a 4WD jeep safari. One of the most beautiful spots on the island, it is also home to the Baths of Aphrodite. We'll then enjoy a traditional Cypriot lunch at a local tavern. [B,L,D]
Special Experience: This evening we'll experience a breathtaking Mediterranean sunset on a yacht cruise and enjoy dinner, drinks and music.
