Enter the city through the Siq, a narrow, 800 metre long gorge, flanked on either side by soaring 80 metre high cliffs. One of the world’s greatest treasures, Petra is a vast, unique city carved into the sheer rock face more than 2000 years ago. Please note: We are sure you will have a fantastic time in Jordan. Marion Bunnik has just finished travelling through Jordan on an inspection visit and has noticed that Jordan has had an enormous influx of tourists over the past couple of years. As a result of this, the infrastructure that is usually enjoyed by tourists in well developed countries can often be stretched and therefore, inconsistent. This may mean that there may be noticeable differences in standards, including vehicles, hotels and guides. Bunnik Tours always endeavours to provide the best touring experience possible and recommends that everyone who visits Jordan, do so with an open mind and flexibility.
