Welcome to the United States of America and the mountain town of Denver! Dating back to the Old West era, Denver is becoming well known for its booming culinary and brewing scene. After we transfer to our hotel, we'll enjoy a welcome drink to relax and unwind after our flights.
We'll see some of the key sights in the historic downtown district of Denver on a guided tour this morning, including Union Station and Oxford Hotel.
Special Experience: Enjoy a private craft distillery tour of Mile High Spirits, and enjoy a tasting of their small batch spirits!
Tonight we'll enjoy a group welcome dinner at a local restaurant. [B,D]
On our way to Glenwood Springs we'll take a detour to the grave of Buffalo Bill in Golden for some sightseeing. [B]
Special Experience: Wash the day away with a relaxing soak in Glenwood Spring's famous hot springs.
Enjoy a morning at leisure to just relax or enjoy the Colorado River before we explore beautiful Aspen later on, including a visit to John Denver Memorial Garden. [B]
This morning we'll travel by tramway up Iron Mountain and explore the caves before making our way to Moab, gateway to the colossal red rock formations in Arches National Park. [B,D]
Special Experience: Take an amazing sunset jet boat ride from Moab to Canyonlands National Park, stopping along the way for dinner.
We have a full day of touring some of the nearby national parks today, making our way through Canyonlands National Park, known for its dramatic desert and sandstone landscapes, to Arches National Park, famed for its more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches. [B]
Today we travel to Utah's capital, Salt Lake City, where we'll enjoy an evening at leisure to relax or explore. [B]
We'll visit sights such as Capitol Hill, Pioneer Heritage State Park, Trolley Square, Temple Square and Beehive House, an official residence of Brigham Young. After a group lunch in Brigham Young's personal residence, the Lion House Pantry, we'll have some leisure time in the afternoon. [B,L]
We depart for Jackson Hole today, nestled among verdant valleys and surrounded by rough and rocky mountain ranges. On the way we'll make a stop at Antelope Island and enjoy a dip in the salt lake. [B]
Special Experience: Drift along Snake River and spot wildlife in the picturesque Grand Teton National Park, part of the Greater Yellowstone region.
We'll make a visit to the National Museum of Wildlife Art, filled with stunning exhibits featuring art by prominent artists, such as Andy Warhol, Georgia O'Keefe and Robert Kuhn. [B]
Special Experience: Enjoy three spectacular days exploring America's first national park, Yellowstone National Park!
Today we'll get to meet Old Faithful, the ever-predictable geyser known for erupting every 44 to 125 minutes. We'll also visit some waterfalls before enjoying this iconic park at our own pace. [B]
We'll continue our sightseeing this morning to learn about the diverse range of wildlife that calls the park home, and see more of the amazing vistas, mountain ranges, valley floors and abundant wildlife. [B]
Special Experience: Explore Yellowstone National Park with a specialist guide and search for its wolves and grizzly bears. [B]
We depart for Cody, Wyoming this morning, which was founded by none other than Colonel William F. 'Buffalo Bill' Cody himself. While here we'll visit the Buffalo Bill Historical Centre to learn more about the man and the legend, and explore the Plains Indian Museum. [B]
This morning we'll take a sightseeing tour of Bighorn National Forest. This diverse landscape of grasslands, alpine meadows, glacially-carved valleys, rolling hills and sheer mountain cliffs provides plenty of stunning photo opportunities. [B]
On our way to Rapid City this morning we'll stop at Devil's Tower, a 265-metre-tall igneous rock butte, and the historic gold rush town of Deadwood, a once lawless town filled with fortune seekers and sinister characters. Fortune seekers still flock to the town, but now they're trying their luck in the many gambling halls! [B]
Rapid City is a great base to explore nearby Black Hills National Forest. With 1.2 million acres of forested hills and mountains, Black Hills is home to a diverse range of wildlife, such as elk, pronghorn and deer. We'll also make visits to the Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore before we take a ride through the forest aboard the 1880 vintage steam train. [B]
Today we're heading to Estes Park, the perfect spot to explore the nearby Rocky Mountains, stopping in Fort Laramie on the way. [B]
Special Experience: Experience some of the most dramatic wilderness in North America with a full day of sightseeing in Rocky Mountains National Park.
