Day 1: Vancouver, British Columbia to Kelowna
Kelowna is known for two things-golf and grapes. Say hello to your new Topdeck group as we take the (pretty epic) scenic drive through Fraser Valley with views of the Coast Mountains, over the Coquihalla Pass and into the Okanagan Valley. Get to know the crew over dinner tonight. Meals: -Dinner
Day 2: Kelowna to Golden
If the von Trapps were Canadian, and travelled by bus, today would be like a scene out of The Sound of Music. Glacier National Park has the quintessential mountain peaks and lush valleys of Maria's Alps, and we haven't even reached the Rockies yet. Stop at Rogers Pass National en route to learn about Canadian history and the Park's wildlife. Dinner's with the crew tonight. Meals: -Breakfast -Dinner Included today: -Glacier National Park entry
Day 3: Golden to Banff National Park, Alberta
It's Louise vs Moraine in today's episode of Lake's Got Talent - you be the judge as we cross through Kicking Horse Pass and the Continental Divide into Banff, Alberta. Included today: -Lake Louise -Yoho National Park entry -Banff National Park entry
Day 4: Banff
Banff is National Geographic on steroids - all snow-capped peaks and sky-mirroring lakes. If you run out of FOMO-inducing hashtags, lower your phone and raise your pulse with optional white-water rafting on Kicking Horse River, mountain biking or horse riding, Sulphur Mountain gondola or the local cave. Warm up in the hot springs tonight. Included today: -Banff Upper Hot Springs Meals: -Breakfast Optional activities: -White water rafting -Mountain biking -Horseback riding
Day 5: Banff to Jasper National Park
Today's theme? Ice, ice baby! First, the world's most scenic highway - the Icefields Parkway. Second, the Columbia Icefield - the largest ice cap south of the Arctic Circle. Third, a 'Sno Coach' tour of the Athabasca Glacier. Defrost in Jasper tonight. Included today: -Athabasca Glacier Sno-coach -Jasper National Park entry Meals: -Breakfast Optional activities: -Columbia Icefield helicopter tours
Day 6: Jasper
Jasper's free day offerings are endless - the skytram, museums, Spirit Island boat tour, horseback riding, caning, rock climbing and fishing. Say hello to the local wildlife of wolves and coyotes and bears, oh my! Meals: -Breakfast Optional activities: -Bike hire
Day 7: Jasper to Kamloops, British Columbia
At over 12,000 feet (almost 4000 metres) Mount Robson is the Rockies' highest peak - yep, size matters (sorry, gents). You'll have just enough time to take a selfie with a mountain goat statue and spot the moose near Moose Lake before we rendezvous with Kamloops. Meals: -Breakfast -Dinner
Day 8: Kamloops to Whistler
Summer is the new winter in Whistler, so named for the whistling hoary marmot that lives here. It's the holy grail of ski resorts, but you'll be surprised at how much more there is to do when the snow melts. Pass through the small towns and indigenous communities of British Columbia and rendezvous with the crew for a low-down of today over dinner. Included today: -Whistler village sightseeing tour Meals: -Dinner
Day 9: Whistler
Make your travel insurance work hard for you with a spot of mountain biking, ziplining, or work on your tan at the beach (seriously) with the other off-season ski bunnies. Optional activities: -Bar Crawl -Bike hire -Ziplining
Day 10: Whistler
On the second day, Whistler created five lakes to dip your t in, a gondola lift to enjoy the view from, countless spas to relieve your stress (four-handed massage, anyone?) and enough cafes, boutiques and galleries to max your credit card. Have fun.
Day 11: Whistler to Vancouver
Passing Brandywine and Shannon Falls, we'll wrap up our trip along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to Vancity - and throw in a drive by through Stanley Park once we arrive. Cue sad faces and goodbyes or head straight to one of the 40-plus brew houses in this craft-beer capital. There's always Facebook, and next year.
