Day 3. Buenos Aires - Rio de Janeiro

Day 4. Rio de Janeiro

Today we visit the icons of Rio, including Corcovado Hill, the Statue of Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. We’ll enjoy a traditional churrasco grill for dinner tonight at Fogo de Chao. [B,D]

Day 5. Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu Falls

We fly to thundering Iguazu Falls. Straddling the border of Argentina and Brazil, Iguazu Falls is one of the world’s largest and most spectacular waterfalls. [B]

Day 6. Iguazu Falls

Today we visit the Argentinian side of the falls and travel by train to Devil’s Throat, which we will stand over on a platform and sense its incredible power. [B]

Day 7. Iguazu Falls - Lima

This morning we visit the Brazilian side of the falls, walking the canyon path. Then get up close and personal with more than 160 species of tropical birds at the Parque Das Aves before flying to Lima. [B]

Day 8. Lima - Guayaquil

We discover the sights of Guayaquil on a city tour this afternoon, including Iguana Park, the Cathedral of Saint Peter, Malecon 2000, City Hall and the Simon Bolivar and San Martin Monuments. [B]

Day 9. Guayaquil - Galapagos Islands

Special Experience: We fly to the amazing Galapagos Islands, one of the world’s best destinations for wildlife viewing. We’ll enjoy lunch at a heritage property amongst the giant tortoises once we arrive. [B,L]

Day 10. Galapagos Islands

Today we’ll visit one of the uninhabited islands to witness more amazing wildlife. Keep an eye out for penguins, dolphins and plenty of exotic fish. [B,L]

Day 11. Galapagos Islands

We visit beautiful Tortuga Bay on a walking tour, with time to snorkel and enjoy the underwater kaleidoscope. This afternoon we board a speedboat bound for the island of San Cristóbal, home to many natural wonders. [B]

Day 12. Galapagos Islands

We’ll board a yacht for either Isla Lobos or Kicker Rock, according to the National Park schedule. Both offer amazing snorkelling opportunities. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Why not visit the islands’ Interpretation Centre? It provides a wealth of information and exhibits about the Galapagos. [B,L]

Day 13. Galapagos Islands - Lima

Today we fly to Lima via Guayaquil. [B]

Day 14. Lima - Cusco

This morning we fly to Cusco, the former Incan capital. After lunch we’ll explore Koricancha, Temple of the Sun - considered the most spectacular temple of the Incan empire. [B,L]

Day 15. Cusco - Sacred Valley

We travel into the incredible Sacred Valley, stopping to visit the impressive ruins and lively market of Pisac. We’ll also visit the town and ruins of Ollantaytambo, an impressive Incan fortress. [B]

Day 16. Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

Special Experience: A magical day as we travel by Vistadome train through the Sacred Valley to the legendary Lost City of the Incas - Machu Picchu. [B,D]


Day 17. Machu Picchu - Cusco

Why not return to Machu Picchu for an optional second visit this morning? We’ll return to Ollantaytambo this afternoon and stop in Chinchero for a traditional weaving demonstration on our way to Cusco. [B]

Day 18. Cusco

Our day begins at the fascinating fortress of Sacsayhuaman before visiting the colourful San Pedro Market. Later we’ll explore Cusco’s San Blas neighbourhood on foot and tour the 17th century Cathedral of Santo Domingo. [B]

Today we fly to Santiago. [B]
