Day 1: Anchorage to Talkeetna
Howdy folks! You've arrived in Anchorage, Alaska's biggest, little city. This is our meeting point and you'll be shaking hands with your new trip mates this morning. Today we'll be rolling north to Talkeetna, towards Mt Denali which let's face it, is the star of this trip. If it's a clear day, wave hello to the 'Great One' as you zoom by. Meals: -Dinner
Day 2: Talkeetna to Denali
Today's destination = Denali National Park! One of America's 58 National Parks, this one is about to cement itself in your mind forever. Think: six million acres of wilderness ready to be explored, and you've scored a AAA pass, ( you can thank us later.) Today's adventure includes a dog sled demo where you'll get to meet some genuine Alaskan Huskies. OMG. Later, for the adrenaline junkies among the group, take the option to get ready for white water rafting - but hold on tight! You'll have to maneuver the raft across the rapids carefully or prepare for a glacial mountain water bath. Day 3: Denali
Lucky the sun barely dips below the horizon at this time of year, there's almost 24 hours worth of daylight and you're gonna need it to explore as much of the Denali National Park as possible. First up, a drive to find some wildlife. Eyes to the coach windows at all times - from grizzlies to moose to dall sheep, you've hit the wildlife lottery. Day 4: Denali to Tangle Lakes
Wave goodbye to Denali. Today we're heading to lake country. Tangle Lakes, as its name suggests is a 26km area made up of winding lakes and streams. Wilderness all day erry day, take your time to enjoy this nature retreat. In the afternoon, why not jump into one of the lake's cans and paddle your way around and 10 points if you spot a beaver. Day 5: Tangle Lakes to Wrangell St Elias NP
From one national park to another, today we're leaving the lakes and heading east towards the Canada border to the Wrangell St Elias National Park. Comprising three major mountain ranges - The Wrangells, The Chugach and the St Elias Mountains, you could say you're in for a treat. Included today is the McCarthy scenic drive so make sure you're camera batteries are charged. Included today: -Scenic drive through McCarthy Meals: -Breakfast -Dinner
Day 6: Wrangell St Elias NP
Majestic AF = words we'd use to describe your free day today. Put on your hiking boots and explore the national park yourself or, no biggie, choose between glacier climbing or ice trekking. Wait, Is this real life? Meals: -Breakfast Optional activities: -Ice climbing -Glacier trek
Day 7: Wrangell St Elias to Prince William Sound (via Worthington Glacier)
Just incase you haven't got your glacier fix, today we're off to Prince William Sound but first we'll be stopping off at the Richardson Highway to see the Worthington Glacier, a valley glacier, covering 5,774 acres. Damn! Also on the journey agenda is a stop at the Thompson Pass, officially the snowiest place in Alaska during winter. After all that sightseeing, you've earned your dinner which is included tonight. Did you know: The Thompson Pass receives around 1,401 cm of snow per year on average. Day 8: Prince William Sound
Glaciers, glaciers everywhere! Is what you'll be thinking today as you wake in what we can only describe as the most picture-perfect location ever. Surrounded by Chugach National Forest and mountains that touch the sky, you may even spot some belly-flopping humpback whales in the distance. Hot tip: it's your last full day in the wild so you better live it up with your choice of a wildlife cruise, or sea kayaking. Awesome. Day 9: Prince William Sound to Anchorage
Say goodbye to the mountains, the glaciers and the forests, today you're heading back to the big smoke for some souvenir buying and some beer drinking before parting ways with your Topdeck bezzie mates. Meals: -Breakfast
